Our Success Stories

Story # 1: Meenakashi from Tharparkar, Sind Province

Meenakashi’s story shows exactly how one small, interest-free HEWT loan can change the direction of an entire family. Before receiving support, her family was living on the edge of survival — there were days when they could afford only one meal. But Meenakashi had skill, courage, and the desire to work; what she lacked was the small amount of capital needed to begin. She started selling food items to her villagers and engaged her husband and kids in her business as well. That income did not just help her personally — it brought food, stability, and dignity into her home. Her family moved from surviving on one meal a day to being able to afford three meals, a simple change that represents a life-changing difference for a mother and her children.

This is the true power of HEWT’s interest-free microloan model: it does not create dependency; it creates opportunity. A small loan gave Meenakashi an ability to earn Rs: 3000 a day, improving her livelihood as well as to make savings to expand into other businesses.
